Frequently Asked Questions
We have tried to be very thorough when developing and implementing our policies and procedures because it is beneficial for everyone to have the same expectations. While information provided during the complimentary Meet and Greet appointment is far more comprehensive, here are some answers to questions that have often been asked by prospective clients:
How do we get started?
You contact us to schedule your complimentary Meet & Greet. We will come to your home to meet you and your pet(s). We can both decide if we are a good fit or not.
What happens during this meeting?
We will discuss your needs, as well as those of your pet(s). Should you choose to use our service, we will leave the Service Agreement for you to review. A follow up appointment will be made to pick up the signed agreement and to make a copy of your house key. A deposit is required if booking a reservation.
Do I sign a new agreement each time?
No. We realize our agreement is very long. However, it is only signed once and covers all future service. Agreement can be canceled by either party with a 15 day written notice.
Will you keep our keys on file?
Yes. You can choose to keep your keys on file for future service. Remember, when we retain your keys we are often able to help in an emergency situation.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, we certainly are. We carry a general liability policy that includes care, custody and control. We are bonded, as well.
Do you know Pet First Aid?
Yes. We have been trained in Pet First Aid & CPR.
Can my neighbors / friends help?
No. We will respectfully decline to provide service under these terms. We have attempted to protect both ourselves and our clients by carrying significant amounts of insurance coverage. Therefore, we are not willing to be responsible when others share in the care of the pet.
How many visits per day?
For the health and safety of all pets entrusted to our care, we require a minimum number of visits per day. We require three daily visits for dogs. Cats and caged pets are visited a minimum of once each day. However, we are happy to come twice if it would be beneficial for your particular cat or caged pet, but once per day is our minimum requirement.
Do you work on holidays?
Yes. We are available on holidays. However, six holidays do come under our holiday rate schedule: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Testimonial
Hi Laurie,
Thank you so much for taking care of Kate and Gabby for us!
It is such a relief knowing you have our backs with them and anything else that comes up at the house (no heat) . . . we feel so fortunate to have you as part of our village.
You are a godsend!
