Frequently Asked Questions
We have tried to be very thorough when developing and implementing our policies and procedures because it is beneficial for everyone to have the same expectations. While information provided during the complimentary Meet and Greet appointment is far more comprehensive, here are some answers to questions that have often been asked by prospective clients:
Why is a full-time sitter a good choice?
Emergencies involving your pet or the house can arise and are given priority. You don’t have to worry that your situation will conflict with someone getting to their other job on time. Your pets and home come first!
How do we get started?
You contact us to schedule your complimentary Meet & Greet. We will come to your home to meet you and your pet(s). We can both decide if we are a good fit or not.
What happens during this meeting?
We will discuss your needs, as well as those of your pet(s). Should you decide to use our services, we will require detailed information about your pet(s), including health and medical information. We will read and sign the Pet Sitting Service Agreement. Deposit is required if you are booking a reservation.
Do I sign a new agreement each time?
No. We realize our agreement is very long. However, it is only signed once and covers all future service. Agreement can be canceled by either party with a 15 day written notice.
Will you keep our keys on file?
Yes. You can choose to keep your keys on file for future service. Remember, when we retain your keys we are often able to help in an emergency situation.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, we certainly are. We carry a general liability policy that includes care, custody and control. We are bonded, as well.
Do you know Pet First Aid?
Yes. We have been trained in Pet First Aid & CPR.
Can my neighbors / friends help?
No. We will respectfully decline to provide services under these terms. We have attempted to protect both ourselves and our clients by carrying significant amounts of insurance coverage. Therefore, we are not willing to be responsible when others share in the care of the pet.
How many visits per day?
We accept reservations that require a certain minimum number of visits:
Cats: at least one daily visit
Caged pets: at least one daily visit
Dogs: three daily visits
Do you work on holidays?
Yes. We are available on holidays. However, five holidays do come under our holiday rate schedule. These include New Years Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Thank you so much for taking care of Kate and Gabby for us!
It is such a relief knowing you have our backs with them and anything else that comes up at the house (no heat) . . . we feel so fortunate to have you as part of our village.
You are a godsend!
